FAQ’S

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE

What services are offered by SOS Roadside Assistance?

We provide battery jump starts, battery replacement, car door unlocks, fuel delivery, tire changes for passenger cars, SUV’s, pick up trucks and small trailers including boat, horse, RV and utility trailers.

Do you offer towing?

Our goal is to resolve your vehicle problem so you can continue on with your daily plans.  We are usually able to accomplish that  without having to tow your vehicle.  Our efforts often reduce your costs by eliminating the cost of towing and subsequent repair costs at a local shop.  However, in the event our efforts are not successful and you do require towing, we have the most reliable companies in the area to refer you to for your towing needs.

I have a flat tire on my trailer but no spare, can you help?

We stock a wide range of tires/wheels for boat, RV and utility trailers.  We likely have something in stock that will work for your trailer.  A trailer tire service call is $69.00 plus the cost of the tire/wheel that we are providing to you.  The range of our tires and wheels are $115-$180 depending on the size needed for your trailer.

I believe either my battery is dead or my alternator malfunctioned so my battery died, can you help?

We can recharge your battery and test it for proper operation.  Once charged, we will start your vehicle and test your alternator to see if it is faulty.  In most cases we can replace your battery with a new Interstate battery or if the alternator is faulty we may be able to replace it.  In either case, our goal is to resolve your problem and eliminate a tow.

What types of payment do you accept and is payment required up front?

We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Amercian Express and Discover.  The only time payment is required up front is when the call is for a fuel delivery, if the call is between the hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am or if the call is outside of our normal 20 mile coverage area.

I need a tire change and a battery jump start on the same vehicle, do I have to pay separate fees?

In most cases we can combine or reduce charges for service calls that require multiple services during a single dispatched call so that you’re not double billed or double charged.
